Last weekend I photographed a gorgeous family, it was our third attempt due to the weather so it was great to get out and do it!
The two girls were so good, they did everything I asked and are just adorable.
Here are a few of my favourite shots for Mum & Dad to see!

I don't just photograph women and girls!
I have been speaking with the lovely James over Facebook for ages now but we actually got together last week to do a studio shoot.
I really enjoyed photographing a guy for a change. We did a few lighting and outfit changes throughout the session.
Come on guys, I want to photograph more of you so please get in touch!

A beautiful baby girl and the cutest tutu
In early March I photographed a beautiful baby girl. She was so lovely, really active. Her arms and legs were going all the time, I think she must have been in training for the London Marathon!
Her aunt had given her the cutest tutu you have ever seen. She really did look adorable in it!
I will be photographing her with her family again soon and I am really looking forward to recording her christening in June.

Gorgeous studio session
Back in February I was lucky to photograph a lovely teenager whose Mum and Dad had purchased a gift voucher from me for her Christmas present.
I have to say she was an absolute pleasure to photograph. She did everything I asked and looked amazing in the images.
It was a lot of fun and she was very patient while I moved the light round to get different effects.

Capture your leap year moment with an engagement shoot
Of course, there's no reason that women can't
propose marriage on any day of any year. But Leap Years and the traditions which
come along with them endure, and there's no denying that they do raise a smile.
Are you planning on popping the question this Leap Year? You can tell me.... I
won't spill the beans.
What better way to remember such a special occasion than
with an engagement shoot? Let me tell you why
engagement photography is a great idea, no matter who got down on one knee!
- Remember the moment. Engagements can go by in a flash. The focus
often shifts quickly to the wedding, and planning can take over. The excitement
and exhilaration of being newly-engaged can get forgotten, and this is a shame.
Engagement photo shoots capture this special time, which does after all deserve
to be remembered!
- Something different. Your wedding photos will be very distinctive,
after all, there's no denying a wedding photo (the white dress and flowers
usually give it away... )! Engagement photographs are something a little
different. Not everyone will have them, and they sit beautifully between the
photos you'll have in your own collection and your wedding photos.
- Your first official couples photos. Leading on from the previous
point, engagement photography is important because it's often the first
official, professional set of photos you'll have done as a couple. No matter
how long you've been together, or how you met, chances are the only photos you
have of you both together are from parties or special events, usually taken by
a camera phone. Many people don't have any photos with both of them in, simply
because one of the couple was always taking the photo!
- Meet your wedding photographer. This is one of the most important
aspects of engagement photo shoots. They enable you to meet your wedding
photographer, and for the photographer to meet both of you, too. You can get to
know each other, feel relaxed around each other and understand what's required
during a shoot to get the very best images. Then, on your wedding day, you'll
feel like old friends and the resulting wedding pictures will be that much
better.
- Lovely gifts - or wedding invitations. Many of my clients choose a favourite image from their engagement photo shoot as wedding invitations. What
a lovely idea!
Whether you get engaged on February 29th or on another day in this
Leap Year, have a think about the benefits of an engagement photo shoot, and
give me a call to discuss your ideal images. Together we will make them
happen!Tuesday, 14 February 2012
Romantic photography shoots for couples - special offer below!
- Special to you. Your romantic photo shoot will capture and reflect your mood and the joy you shared as a couple on that particular day. Like any experienced, professional portrait photographer, I work with you to put you at ease before expertly capturing the character of your partnership.
- Images which last. Whether you choose final images which can go in a traditional photo book or be wall mounted on canvas or in a frame, your couples photo shoot images will always be a really unique and truly special set of images which you can keep to yourselves or share with friends and family.
- A unique idea. Almost every married couple will have wedding photos, and many parents will have professional photographs capturing their early days as a family unit. How many people do you know who have chosen to get beautiful portrait shots done against a lovely landscape, simply because they can? Couple photo shoots open that possibility up to you and your significant other.
I will meet with you both prior to the shoot, to get to know you and to discuss any ideas you've got for single images or the entire shoot. I'll then help find the ideal location for the shoot, sourcing beautiful outdoor settings or the perfect studio backdrop. I prefer to work outdoors, but will happily create your ideal shoot in a studio if this is your preference. There will always be a backup plan, should the weather conspire against us on the day of the shoot. You'll find the shoot relaxing, exhilarating and plenty of fun! I am an absolute professional, but this doesn't mean my shoots aren't laid-back and a good laugh. Ultimately, I am there to draw out the best of both of you and to capture that in iconic images you'll love, forever.
Who do you know who wants to celebrate their relationship with a bespoke romantic couples photo shoot?
It doesn't have to cost the earth with the shoot only costing £250 (including £150 print credit). Prints start from only £30 - book by 31st March 2012 to receive a 5x7.5" print for free!

If you can't sew don't worry, you don't have to.....
Last week I spent some time with the lovely Deborah Law of Just Sew Interiors.
All I can say is wow! I saw the most amazing room layouts and designs complimented with fabulous curtains and soft furnishings. I am now totally ashamed of my own curtains and curtain rails!! Debbie has such an eye for detail! She also knows a lot about fabric and how to handle it - I now realise why my curtains don't hang perfectly - its all down to the way you draw them!!
Debbie is in the process of building her new website so we took some shots of her previous work and also some head shots. Great head shots make such a difference to your own website - if you need some new shots, please let me know - I would love to help!
